The Role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you’ll be responsible for building the top of the sales funnel — prospecting, qualifying leads, and booking meetings for our Enterprise Account Executives. You’ll target SMEs directly and support pipeline development for large enterprise and channel opportunities.

This is a hands-on role where hustle, curiosity, and resilience matter more than experience. You’ll receive structured coaching and mentorship, with a clear career path into an Account Executive role within 12–18 months.

What You’ll Do

  • Prospect SMEs and enterprise leads through email, LinkedIn, events, and cold outreach.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to ensure strong fit for Kenai solutions.
  • Book discovery calls and demos for Enterprise AEs.
  • Manage outreach campaigns via Apollo, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and other tools.
  • Track pipeline activity and maintain CRM hygiene.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and targeting.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of sales, business development, or customer-facing experience (internships or grad roles welcome).
  • Strong communication skills and confidence in speaking to decision-makers.
  • High energy, resilient, and motivated to exceed targets.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable using CRM/sales automation tools.
  • Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg with willingness to travel occasionally.

Nice to Have

  • Previous SaaS sales experience.
  • Familiarity with Apollo, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Knowledge of enterprise security, property, or technology sectors.
